We`ve listened to your comments that the Action Replay MAX for DS/GBA is too slow when communicating with the PC and we`re hoping to make it 10 times faster with new software for both the firmware (the program on the Action Replay cart) and the PC application. we`ve also taken this opportunity to update Action Replay so that it works with Nintendogs: Labrador and Friends after problems were reported.

UPGRADE INSTUCTIONS

It is essential that you update both the PC application AND the firmware on the Action Replay hardware. If you do not upgrade both you will find that your PC software cannot communicate with your Action Replay hardware.

Carefully follow these steps:

1. Download the new PC application from the bottom of this page

2. Download the firmware update from the bottom of this page

3. Connect your Action Replay hardware to your DS, insert a GBA cart, connect the hardware to your PC and boot up the Action Replay in USB MODE (boot holding A+B+START)

4. Run the OLD version of your "Nintendo DS - GBA Max Drive" PC software

5. Click `Action Replay GBX (GBA)` on the main menu

6. Click on the update firmware button (which looks like a chip with a flash) and when prompted, point the file browser at the new firmware file (.elf) you downloaded in step 2.

7. Updating the firmware will take several minutes, under no circumstances should you interupt this process. Wait until the update has been successfull (the progress count will finish and you will see a confirmation prompt).

8. Once complete reboot your Action Replay hardware and exit your PC software.

9. Finally, uninstall your PC software (use either Control Panel or the Uninstaller in the start menu) before installing the new PC application you downloaded in step 1.
