First, ensure that your AMP cartridge is securely connected to your PC using the supplied USB cable and that your AMP is firmly inserted into your GBA. Ensure that your GBA is switched on and that it has batteries with plenty of power.
If you are sure that the GBA and AMP are connected properly, check to see whether Windows has correctly installed the AMP hardware drivers. To do this look in ‘Device Manager’ in your Windows ‘Control Panel’ or on the ‘Hardware’ tab of your ‘System Properties’ (depending on your operating system). With the AMP and GBA connected and switched on you should see ‘Advanced Music Player’ or ‘AMP’ appearing as a USB device. If there are any problems with the installation of the device they will be detailed here.
Try re-installing the drivers (which are located in the root of the AMP PC software CD ROM).
