The original Action Replay MAX for PSP
The original Action Replay MAX was released in 2006 shortly after the PSP was launched by Sony. It allows users to download Powersaves and Community Saves from Codejunkies’ massive online database of game saves. By copying these special saves to a PSP memory stick, users have instant access to unlocked levels, characters, vehicles etc and in the case of Powersaves (which have been professionally modified by Datel’s hackers) sometimes have more lives, cars or weapons than would ever be available through normal play.
The new Action Replay for PSP
The new Action Replay for PSP, released late September 2008 uses a brand new, 100% codes based cheat engine that enables you to modify your games in a way that even Powersaves can’t. It does this by loading the Action Replay code engine into the consoles memory before a game is run. Once running, the Action Replay code engine constantly modifies the way the game behaves depending upon what codes you have turned on.
Codes such as Infinite Ammo, Infinite Lives, Moon Gravity, Walk Thu Walls and Hypermode that have made Action Replay the indispensible game enhancer for the last 10 years have now come to the PSP.
What happens about new codes?
Like the Sony PS2 and Nintendo DS versions, Action Replay for PSP can be kept up to date with new codes for the latest games. On Action Replay for PSP this is done by copying new code ‘binaries’ onto the Action Replay memory card. Binaries can be downloaded from the PSP Codes section of Codejunkies or, using the built-in web browser on the PSP, from www.pspar.com where they can be saved directly to the memory card without even needing to use a PC!
Datel’s team of hackers have been hard at work creating codes for the huge back catalogue of PSP games and this work will continue ensuring that Action Replay for PSP benefits from the same level of code support as our other multi-million selling Action Replays.
