Important! This article only relates to certain versions of Action Replay MAX that included the MAX Media Player functionality. Only Action Replay MAX versions 3.3x to 3.5x included this feature. Only try the method described in this article if you can see the MAX Media Player icon on the start screen of your Action Replay MAX.

The Max Media Creator application works with most CD/DVD writer hardware, but there are a few it does not detect yet. If your CD writer is not currently detected then please let us know your drive`s make and model number.

Firstly, make sure you have the very latest version of the MAX Media Creator PC software which you can download from our Support or Downloads pages. The latest version of the software lets you select an alternative compatibility mode when burning to CD-R, and this has been found to work with certain CD writers.

If this still doesn`t do the trick then you can make a PS2 image file and burn it using other CD burning software (eg Nero) in the following way:

  1. Open Max Media Creator.
  2. Click the Save to File button in the Output Media box. Select a destination for the files (e.g. your desktop).
  3. Add the files you want on the CD.
  4. Click Create. You will now see a prompt dialog, click the CD Image button. You will now have an audio.cue and an audio.bin file.
  5. Open a CD writing program like Nero. You now need to burn the audio.cue image file to a disc. To do this in Nero, click the Recorder menu option and select Burn Image. Then select the audio.cue file to burn the disc.
